Elizabeth Kiss
Elizabeth Kiss is an associate professor and extension specialist in the Department of Personal Financial Planning at Kansas State University. Her underlying motivation is a desire to understand why people do what they do when it comes to using their time, earning and spending money, and making decisions about education and skills. She approaches her scholarship through the dual lenses of financial decision-making and financial education. Making a difference in the lives of Kansans is important. Scholarship that can inform policy, systems, and environmental change is also important. Because of this, she tends to focus her efforts on those groups whose access and participation in the economic system may be challenged in some way. Exploring financial decision-making across the life cycle, in rural areas, and at the intersections of health and financial well-being are focus areas.
