Abilene Public Transportation
Provides demand-response transportation as well as curb to curb service. The city of Abilene has nine holidays each year. Please check with the Abilene Parks & Recreation office for the holiday calendar. City of Abilene Public Transportation will not operate on those scheduled holidays. Round trip is destination and return trip. If riders request more than one destination, riders will be charged an additional $1.00 per stop. Riders should have the correct amount of money because the driver does not carry cash to make change. A $15.00 punch card is available for purchase. This includes 5 round trips. All rides should be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance and can be scheduled daily, weekly, or monthly. Doniphan County Aging & Transportation
The Council on Aging also provides public transportation services to and from doctor’s appointments, shopping, and work, as well as offering recreational trips for a fee. If you or someone you know would be interested in our transportation services, the cost is $7 for local and $25 for out of area trips. The Council on Aging operates four Senior Citizens Sites and delivers home meals to seniors throughout the County. Meals cost $8.44 for persons under 60 and a suggested donation of $3.00 for those over 60.
East Topeka Senior Center
Provide senior citizens with transportation to medical appointments, nutrition, socialization and congregate educational information. Meals on Wheels and meal site. Harvesters distribution site for commodities.

KanCare – Nonemergency Medical Transportation
Each KanCare health plan will help you get to your doctor and other health care providers. To set up a ride you must contact your Managed Care Organization’s subcontracted transportation company: Aetna Better Health for Kansas (866) 252-5634; Sunflower (877) 917-8162; United Healthcare (877) 542-9238.
Deviated fixed routes throughout Emporia. All rides to the health department are free, children 5 and under and care givers ride free.

Provides transportation for: medical appointments, business, pleasure, handicap accessible. Advance notice for out of town trips appreciated. First come, first served basis. Subject to space availability. Call for an appointment between 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday – Friday.
Papan’s Landing Senior Center
To provide services that will assist the elderly to remain independent and in their homes for as long as possible such as transportation, recreation, home visiting, and telephone reassurance.
