Neshia is a Wichita native and Wichita State University Alum. Her natural desire to serve others and contribute to the creation of a better society motivated her to obtain a bachelor’s degree in health services management and Community Development. While navigating the complexities of health equity and social determinants of health in her practice, took the next leap to deepen her knowledge and later achieved her master’s in public administration. She comes with a breadth of experience in the health services world. She has skills in community engagement and outreach, health accreditation readiness, and impacts of social determinants of health. She has served for one of the nation’s largest health care providers, with focus on the under-served, those with mental illness and chronic health conditions. She had the privilege of serving one of the nation’s leading Cancer organizations advocating for access to health care, cancer control, prevention, screening and promoting employee health and wellness programs. In this work, partnered with government agencies, multiple coalitions across the state of Kansas. Some fun facts about Neshia are that she is an actress, model and owner of a vegan lip care company. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, reading, traveling and spend quality time with her children.
