Sandy Procter

Sandy Procter, PhD, RD, is an assistant professor in Kansas State University’s Department of Food, Nutrition, Dietetics and Health and a specialist with K-State Research & Extension. With a focus on nutrition and health, Procter provides leadership and research-based information for local agents and educators across Kansas who program around food access with parents of young families. She works with undergraduate and graduate students passionate about hunger, maternal and infant nutrition, and access to healthful foods. Procter’s interest in community-based nutrition education has taken her to Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia to partner with community health providers to improve the nutritional status of rural mothers and children.
