Mariah Chrans

Mariah Chrans is the Project Director of both the Community Health Worker and Cradle Kansas City initiatives. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Walden University, and is completing a PhD degree in Public Health, with a focus in Community Health from Walden University. Mariah joined the Community Health Council of Wyandotte County team in September of 2018 with 15 years of Maternal and Infant health and community health experience. Mariah is adjunct faculty with Metropolitan Community College teaching Community Health Worker in the adult learning and high school setting, is a co-facilitator with Mid-American Regional Council and Central Jackson County Fire Protection District with the Community Paramedic program. Mariah serves on both the Kansas City Missouri and Wyandotte County Fetal and Infant Mortality Review boards and Community Action Teams, and the Kansas Maternal Mortality Review and Kansas Perinatal Collaborative. Mariah is a member of the Kansas City Community Health Worker Collaborative executive, advocacy and curriculum update committees. In addition, Mariah holds an elected seat as an American Public Health Association Community Health Worker Section Leader.
