Leylah Ndinda is currently working as a Community health worker at the Unified Government Public Health Department. Previously, she worked as a field news reporter in East and Central Africa before relocating to the US. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science from the University of South Africa. She is very passionate about working with disadvantaged communities either as a community health worker or by telling their stories on radio and TV. She loves listening to people’s experiences because of her strong belief that she has something to learn from everyone that she meets.

Her approach to life is based on empathy. She says, “Be kind to everyone and treat them with dignity because you might be their last source of hope.”
